The Laboratory of Zooarchaeology is headed by Dr. Lidar Sapir-Hen of the Department of Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Cultures. It is located at the Steinhardt Museum of Natural History. Research at the lab encompasses Prehistoric and Historic periods in the southern Levant, and is based on the study of ancient animal remains.
